Oil Pastels Portrait

Oils Pastels paintings are the most underestimated media and one can do much more than they think with oil pastels. They are one of the most affordable media in traditional painting ways.

All you need to do is buy a box of oils pastels which comes under Rs.200, a good thick art paper and you’re ready to start. “The are a million ways of techniques yet to be discovered with Oil Pastels”, I always say.  Most kids used to start their art journey with pastels, that doesn’t mean a professional cannot use it. Oil Pastel, in particular, is more effective. The colors are vibrant and the texture it gives is my favorite part. They can be used messy and produce incredible textures and form.
